Listening to some of their tracks on YT its clear they sit in the 60's beat/mod/dance genre and would seem to be just the sort of band you'd include in the rare UK sixties collections. Looking through the tracklistings and missing items list I noticed that you have no entries for a band called 'The Executives' (not to be confused with the Aussie band of the same name)() who, hailing from Blackpool, released 9 singles on Columbia and CBS from 1964~1969 and who have never had their own compilation and whose singles especially the mid period ones haven't ever appeared on any various artist compilation either. As this is your latest post I have a question albeit one about the UK Sixties Rarities series. Hi Prof, Thanks for all the great comps as usual. In majority, the singles are not available on CD or on the Internet, some two hundred 45s from my collection have been ripped and remastered. However, for the 1960s the comparison is based on original CB charts and all secondary CB versions are included. As a rule, only "hit" secondary versions included in the Comparison Book are taken into account. Songs recorded by multiple artists were listed by Cash Box and Music Vendor together at one chart position.Included in this project, as separate files. ![]()
